A Guided, Mixed-Media Journey
In this class, you’ll learn the building blocks that can help you create whimsical, folk art-inspired faces with just a few steps.
With the fundamentals of water-soluble crayons and basic face shapes mastered through this class, you’ll be able to create a whimsical girl of your very own from start to finish.
This class is perfect for beginners who want a looser style of art and want an exercise to practice these techniques.

Project Description
You’ll be creating a mixed-media, whimsical girl of your very own!
First, we’re drawing the basic features of your whimsical girl, including the faces, eyes, nose, mouth, neck, shoulders, and fabulously funky hair!
Next, we’ll add in blocks of color by using our water-soluble crayons and blending with water to create a watercolor effect.
Finally, we’ll add some mixed-media marks in a loose art style so that your whimsical girl looks very sketched out and vibrant!
