I saw a picture of a sheep pillow somewhere on the internet, but then couldn’t find it when I was looking for throw pillows for the couch. So, I made my own! I wasn’t quite sure where to begin, but when in doubt, crochet!
Here’s what I came up with:
- With worsted weight gray yarn and a size J hook, Chain 80, join with a slip stitch to form ring
- Round 1= Sc around
- Round 2= sc around
- Round 3= *1bobble (a 5dc bobble), 2 sc* around
- Repeat Rows 1-3 until piece measures 18 inches from beginning.
- Fasten off
Face (Make 1)
- With black yarn, make a magic loop and sc 6 times into it
- *1inc* around
- sc around
- *1sc, 1inc* around
- sc around
- *2sc, 1inc* around
- sc around
- *3sc, 1inc* around
- sc around
- sc around
- *4sc, 1inc* around
- sc around
- sc around
- *5sc, 1inc* around
- sc around
- sc around
- sc around
- sc around
- Fasten off.
Ears (Make 2)
- With black yarn, make a magic loop and sc 6 times into it.
- *1inc* around
- *1sc, 1inc* around
- Folding the ears in thirds at the top half, sew to the head.
Legs (Make 4)
- With black yarn, make a magic loop and sc 6 times into it.
- *1inc* around
- Sc for 6 rounds
- Fasten off.
To assemble, stuff head. Taking body, fold in half and sew head into the top corner of the front seam. Stuff body (I reused a pillow’s stuffing for this) and sew back seam. Holding two legs together at a time, sew legs to the bottom of the body.
Hug your sweet little lamb pillow and Enjoy!
